If you are looking to redesign your home and you want to save some hard earned dollars then you can do a few things yourself to transform your home.
If you want to get the place painted then normally a painter will charge by the Sq Ft, you can go to any store like Home Depot or Lowes and by a good quality paint to do it yourself. As long as you are making sure everything is covered and protected then you should have no problem with some paint rollers and brushes and not forgetting painter tape of achieving the look you want. For furniture you can transform an old chair or dresser with some wood paint and new fabric. If you have the time and patience you can really transform any old house object item in to something you would see in create and barrel or west elm. Not only is it fun it is also a very fulfilling thing and you can pass the future on down the family.
Watch HGTV, it can really be inspiring to get some new ideas on how to fix up your place to the way you want it. If you are out in a retail store and you see a tile or paint you like then don’t be afraid to ask the shop manager where they got the tiles or the paint color from. Most stores these days are designed by top interior designers so you can try and find out what products they used and apply that design to your home.
Do your home work, price up furniture online and shop around. Sometimes stores will have sales online but not put the mark downs in their store so make sure if you see it much cheaper online to get the store to discount it for you.
